Volunteering Opportunities

Whether you are volunteering on the day of the festival or joining the committee there are many ways in which you can help make our community festival a success.

Please register your interest by filling out the form below and we will contact you to discuss next steps.

Without volunteers our community festival simply cannot go ahead so we are grateful for your help.

Our community festival is free to attend because of the generous grants available from our local government and the kind donations of our sponsors and the people willing to put in the time and effort to bring it all together for a day of fun, entertainment, and an opportunity to showcase our community.

Committe Member Volunteering

Now if you like the idea of volunteering but would like to be more involved, our event committee is completely made up of volunteers!
We spend the year planning this festival and we love every second of it. And we're always looking for new members to add their ideas and creative spirit to our festival committee.

Festival day Volunteering

Our festival is completely run by volunteers; from the committee that spends the year planning the festival, to our many volunteers on the day that tirelessly help setup, pack up, and ensure the event runs safely and smoothly.

Without these people we simply could not run an event of this size and quality. They say many hands make light work and if you could lend us yours for just an hour or two, it would make a huge impact.

Come a little early, or stay a little late. Enjoy Arbor Green from the prime viewing spot of our Info Tent. Explore the whole festival area as a steward. There are so many options to contribute and be a part of this cherished local institution to ensure it continues for another 30 years. Why not bring a friend and make it an annual tradition?

Production Team (Event Setup)

This is the crew that arrives early to turn an empty space into a festival. You’ll be helping us with the heavy lifting; setting up gazebos, putting out chairs, and hanging up signs and decorations. It’s a rewarding role for anyone who likes to be active and wants to see the event come together from the ground up before the gates even open.

Info Tent

The Info Tent is where the community comes when they have a question or just need a bit of direction. You’ll be the friendly face who hands out programs, helps people find the right food stall, and keeps everyone updated on what’s happening next. It’s a great spot if you enjoy chatting with neighbours and want to help our guests feel welcome and looked after.

Workshop Helpers

Our Arts Hub is a space where people of all ages can get stuck into painting and hands-on crafts. As a helper, you’ll be there to set out materials, give a hand to anyone who’s stuck, and keep the tables tidy between workshops. It’s a great spot for someone who enjoys a bit of art and wants to help our local families get creative in a relaxed environment.

Stage Runners

Stage Runners help our performers get where they need to be on time. You’ll be the link between the backstage area and the musicians or speakers. If you’d like to support our local talent and don't mind being on your feet in a busier part of the festival, we’d love to have you here.

Stewards

Our Stewards help the day run smoothly by keeping an eye on the festival grounds. You’ll be moving around the site, helping people find their way and making sure the area stays tidy and safe for everyone. It’s a simple but vital role that lets you soak up the atmosphere of the whole festival while being a helpful point of contact for families and visitors.
